Protein was the original diet food. Remember the old fashioned diners years ago? They had the diet plate, and it was a hamburger patty and a salad. It wasnt the salad that was the diet part, it was the hamburger.

To know why protein works for weight loss, you have to understand a little bit about

The Ubiquitous Project Gutenberg – Interview with Michael Hart, Its Founder

November 15, 2005

Michael Hart conceived of electronic books (e-books) back in 1971. Most pundits agree that in the history of knowledge and scholarship, e-books are as important as the Gutenberg press, invented five centuries ago. Many would say that they constitute a far larger quantum leap. As opposed to their print equivalents, e-books are public goods: cost close to nothing to produce, replicate, and disseminate. Anyone with access to minimal technology or even the oldest computers can read e-books.

Hart established Project Gutenberg – a repository of tens of thousands of public domain texts, freely available online. It

The benefits of explosive strength training for rugby football

Unlike other forms of football, rugby can be usefully viewed as a succession of prolonged physical engagements, either between individual players or between groups of players. Each of these engagements demands the exercise of substantial physical strength. While basic strength training should form the foundation for such engagements, there should also be a focus on developing explosive strength appropriate to the particular activity.

During the extended periods when players are physically contesting with their opposing counterparts they are continually subjected to loading substantially greater than their own body weight. And, because that added resistance is live, there is often the

It Became An All-Night Serenade Crusade

I say my body, because Im not sure my brain is ever conscious. Too much evidence exists to make one believe there arent any conscious gray cells in my cranium. At least, that is the opinion of the Gracious Mistress of the Parsonage, which she has expressed on more than one occasion.
